911Strong.Com Sponsored Athlete Jason Chao Takes Bronze at the 2010 World Jiu-Jitsu No Gi Championship!

911Strong.com Sponsored Athlete and 2010 IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu National Gold Medalist, Jason Chao entered his first competition since being crowned #1 in The Nation with one thing in mind...Taking Gold at the 2010 World Jiu-Jitsu No Gi Championships in Long Beach, California.

Jason entered the tournament as a favorite to medal in his division however all bets were off when he suffered a set back during training earlier this week.  During a training session, Jason injured his nose causing a blockage in his breathing ability and possibly jeapordizing his ability to compete in this years tournament.  With the possibility of forfeiting his title on the line, Jason found the gumption to go forward anyway.

"Jason doesn't know the word quit" says Aram Choe, who works with Jason for the City of El Monte.  "There was no doubt in my mind Jason would fight through this adversity as he always does and rise to the challenge."

With an amazing show of effort and tenacity, Jason competed in his class and took home the bronze medal, keeping his top ranking nationally.

Jason attributes much of his success to hard training with his coaching staff at C-Quence Jiu-Jitsu (http://www.bjjtraining.com/) and his strength and conditioning coach, Mike Rojas at Strong 101Gym (http://www.strong101gym.com/).  Jason also adorned the coveted 911strong.Com Team Shirt (available at http://www.911strong.com/) on stage when he received his medal.
